June 3, 2010
7:00 PM

Present: Jerry Webinger, Dean Tegland, Jerry Stone, Orv Evensen, Harvey Ukura. Dick Huhta, Kevin Turnock, Mel Johnson, Earl Romnes, Phil Lippo, Roger Olson, Harold & Shirley Dallmann, Gale Bradford, Stan & Judy Davis, Jim Gassert, Lenny Kroska and Rita Butterfield.

Motion by Jerry second by Roger to approve minutes of May 6 2010. Carried.

Treasurers Report:

Motion by Kevin second by Earl to approve treasurer’s report. Carried.

ATV Instructor of the Year. Rita recently named 2009 Instructor of the Year by MN DNR.

Old Business:

- Northwoods Trail System grand opening for Lawler loops has been postponed until July 14.

- CIP crew brushed ditch along Co Rd 61, need cleanup crew to cut stumps and clear away.

- Trail from Motel/Little Store into City of ML - DOT states ditch riding is OK, not on shoulders.

- New Moose Lake ordinance on ATVs in city limits is in process. Riding County Roads in city limits is covered under city ordinance, state hwys are covered by state statute - can’t ride.

- Satellites will be pumped twice a month, at least through the summer months. Rita to contact Tony.

- Vests available - see Rita.

- Aitkin County roads - tabled until Franklin present.

- Carlton County maps - some access roads have been located on map - still in progress.

Pine County roads - on hold at this time.

New Business:

- Aitkin County wants a contract with Evergreen PAC regarding maintenance on new sections of trail. Motion by Jerry W to accept and sign contract, second by Phil. Jim request to amend motion by stating that Soo Line is NOT included in contract and that we can contact the County or hire for major repair work. Carried as amended.

- Aitkin County’s contract requires Evergreen PAC to carry increased limits in liability, etc. Jim checked into this and insurance coverage to specified limits will cost $1343.94 per year. This is reimbursable through our grant. Motion by Dick second by Lenny to pay. Carried.

- Jerry S mentioned insurance to cover officers. Jim to check into this as well.

- We need a schedule for checking the trails. This will be worked out. Rita and Jim will have copy.

- Dick Huhta donated new hats to members. Thank you Dick. Nice hats!

- Voyager Press Ad - Same as last year - 1 time publication. Cost $92. Agree to do if other clubs will.

Motion by Jerry S second by Roger to adjourn at 9:10pm. Carried.
