Meeting Minutes
GAMPERS’ SUPPER CLUB - Moose Lake
September 3, 2009
7:00 p.m.


Present: Jerry Stone, Vic & Shirley Moretto, Jim Gassert, Al Rinta, Frank Turnock, Jim Ackland, Harold & Shirley Dallmann, Dennis Cieluch, Leo Dahlberg, Mike Freiberg, Dean Tegland, Mel Johnson, Ray & Ann Dhaemers.

Motion by Mike Freiberg, second by Harold to approve Aug 4 minutes.

Treasurers Report:

$15,898 balance - $2085 deposited for tickets, $1042.50 will go to club

Motion by Mike second by Leo to approve treasurers report. Carried.

Bills presented: Warren Peterson, $2150.00

Motion by Second by Leo to pay bills - carried.

New members - none.

Correspondence - Invitation from ATVAM executive board to attend fall convention in Roseau.

Turnock Loop - Mark Jacobson is trying to get money released for the Turnock Loop.

70 - Mile Trail - Oct 6 at 3:00 at Lawler - ride completed new loop, committee meeting at 6:00pm

The Solana Loop was put up for bids. Should be completed by Oct 15 but will not be open until next May

Yamaha and Polaris have donated money for new map printing next spring.

Coffee Lake Creek Bridge - is completed except for rail and stringers. Poles were donated by Moose Lake Power; the DNR donated planking; Carlton County supplied the rock fill. We will contact Work-to-Serve at Willow River boot camp to clear trail along Co Rd 61.

Village of Moose Lake provided three loads of gravel to block an access vehicles were using to get to Soo Pit.

Pine County Mapping - Roads with high traffic are excluded. Jim, Jerry and Rita marked roads on north end that will be included in the county’s road proposal. General feeling is that this will pass.

ATV Alliance - No information yet.

New maps - Rita ordered new Moose Lake City trail maps but they were not available before the fair.

Club Ride - Aug 29th ride cancelled Most members had conflict with date. White Pine Riders will have ride in Nemadji on Sept 12. Call Jerry or Rita if you plan to attend.

Jerry, Mike and Dean met with Greg Bernu. He has agreed to ribbon two new routes into Soo Pit for us.

The outhouse has been pumped and Dean is taking care of supplies.

ATVAM was interested in having a convention in Moose Lake. On hold till road accesses are open.

Soo Line will be graded one more time - Sept or Oct from Lawler to WI border.

Wrenshall Youth ATV Training - September 19.

Silver Bay - ATVAM ride scheduled for October.

Next meeting October 1 at Embassy in Sturgeon Lake.
