Old Business:
70 Mile Project - Nothing new, only to remind riders to stay out of construction areas
Training Review - Total of 111 students certified this past month and there is some talk that Wrenshall Community Ed will be contacting us for a class. There has never been one in that area. Instructors volunteered 428 hours this year to training. Class dates are set for next year already because we need to schedule some of the locations that far ahead: May 1 Cromwell; May 8 Tamarack; May 15 Barnum; May 22 Willow River and May 29 McGrath. Rita passed a letter around for signatures of instructors and volunteers , to be sent to all agencies for use of their facilities for training.
Road Arrows - Dean and Jerry have taken care of this in Moose Lake.
Turnock Loop - A little rough in some areas but generally okay for now.
New Business:
Pine County Roads - Commissioners will be requested to support allowing ATVs on certain County Roads to access riding areas. Motion by Kevin seconded by Phil to send letter of support to Chair of Board Ed Montbriand and Curt Rossow, commissioner in the Sturgeon Lake area, with copies to Tom Helfman, Mayor of Sturgeon Lake. Rita to send letters. If this fails, Sturgeon Lake would like support to allow ATVs to ride Co Rd 46 from Hwy 61 to General Andrews.
City Trails - Harold has met with Dave Talbot City Administrator, regarding possibly re-routing the trail into the city from AmericInn There is also some problems on Soo Hill from the Depot area down the hill. Harold will set up a meeting and get back to Jim.
Voyager Press - John DeMaster talked about the Recreation Guide to be published early in July, suggested the area ATV clubs get together and place an ad. He did not have accurate prices but stated cost at roughly $265
Motion by Frank seconded by Al to follow up with an ad. Carried. Meeting set for next Wed at Lawler with UpNorth and White Pine if approved there.
Club Ride - June 20, start Denham at 9:30am to Soo Pits, General Andrews and back to Denham. Lenny to have lunch and club will reimburse cost.
