SOO LINE - The County graded the trail the last time.  Trails in fair shape with the exception of the east end of the Soo Line, rough, washboards.

TURNOCK LOOP - Firmed up since culvert installed.

SOO PIT - Jim went in with tractor/brush cutter.  Still some bad spots that need repair.  Mike will coordinate repairs.  Gates at the Pit will be widened over the winter to allow Class II ATVs access.

COUNTY ROADS - Problem in Nickerson area where atvs are being stopped by Conservation Officers.  Rita was asked to contact Roseau County and other counties that have changed ordinances to allow ATV travel on certain roads and bring information back to next meeting.  Scott Staples and Dustie Heaton, area Conservation Officers, will be invited to attend the October 2 meeting.  At this time, we are concerned with Hwy 138 or 13 from Barnum to Moose Lake and a stretch of Hwy 1 to 8 in the Holyoke area.  Another issue is linking the Soo Line Trail with State Forests

YOUTH TRAINING - Rita suggested coordinating all youth training, schedule 5 sites for the month of May.  Scheduling would continue to be done as in the past through the schools or whatever means have been used in the past.  There would be a local contact person in each area as well.  A new site could be Cromwell as there is quite a bit of interest in that area.  Training would be held at Barnum, Cromwell, McGrath, Tamarack and Willow River.  The benefits would include: All training supplies could be ordered at one time; instructors would schedule their sites without having to look for volunteers at the last minute; DNR staff would have one contact person.

FALL RIDE - Jerry and others have been riding the Nemadji area and have found a different route than what we have been on previously.  All in favor.  Ride September 27, meet Duquette at 10:00 a.m. bring own lunch.  This route is approximately 60 miles.  Contact Jerry if interested.

-Being no other business, motion by Jack second by Leo to adjourn.  Carried.
