- Spring Trail Ride - Jerry suggested several places - Silver Bay, ride into Wisc, ride to Swatara, Milaca or Nemadji Forest.  Agreed on Nemadji.  Meet Duquette 10AM June 7.  Bring your own lunch.  Also remember dedication trail ride May 16 at Turnocks.  Meet 400 in Lawler.  Supper on your own.

- Frank gave update on 70-mile trail planning meeting held in Hill City on April 29.  A  red 4-toed salamander has been found in the Solana Forest.  This area is now moved into Phase 2 of the trail planning.
The Palisade to Big Sandy trail in the Rat Lake area is in limbo as some of the property has been sold and future plans of new owners are unknown at this time.   A company has been hired to write the EAW for this project, hopefully it will be started before the next meeting.  Aitkin County has hired a person in the Land Department to work with trails.  Frank felt this was a very positive meeting.  Next meeting scheduled for June 16 at Long Lake.  Frank also reported possible riding on the back slope of Hwy 371, from Little Falls to the Baxter area.

- Rita gave update on youth training.  The Barnum class on 4/26 was only partially completed due to snow.  20 students in that class.  CO Scott Staples has scheduled another full training as well as makeup date for May 17 at the Fire Hall/ Fairgrounds.  Tamarack training will be  Saturday May 3.  Show of hands of instructors able to help out.
Jerry Stone suggested the Rod & Gun Club may be willing to let all the area training classes use the Club’s facilities located on the west edge of Barnum in the future.  More discussion on this at a future date.

- Dates to remember: May 3 & 4 - ATVAM Fair - Benton County Fairgounds;   June 14 - Silver Bay - World’s Longest ATV Parade;   July 12 - Aitkin Co Fairgounds - ATV pull and obstacle course.

- New trail projects - Phil suggested a trail west and north of Cromwell, then into the Fond du Lac Forest where the DNR has built many miles of trails in the past few years.

- Soo Pit Parking Area - Due to new construction in the area, the County is taking dirt from the entrance area to Soo Pit and putting it  further east to create a parking area off the old landfill road..  Suggestion to fill ruts along Hwy 61 south of Moose Lake.  Signs will be posted to stay on pavement.  Still some garbage in Soo Pit.  Work crew to go out 600pm on May 8.

- Request from Moose Lake Youth Baseball Association for donation again this year.  Motion by Phil second by Mike to pay the $40 requested for a 4 x 3 sign to be posted at one of the league fields.  Carried.

- Darwin told group of the Moose Lake Airport Fly-In/Pancake breakfast on June 21.  Suggested the club may wish to have a table set up with information available.  Spring Fever Days June 14

- do we want to ride in parade?  Possible float - Darwin and Rita to explore further, otherwise just ride in parade.  Fairgounds at 10am

- Remember to turn in work logs for anything you do on the trails.

- ATV Instructor training at MLPD on May 14 (note: this was later determined to be for law enforcement only.)

- Due to holiday, motion by Mike second by Darwin to change July meeting date from the 3rd to 10th.  Carried.

- Pete will check into getting 50/50 tickets.

Motion by Jerry second by Darwin to adjourn.  Carried.  Adjourned 830 pm.
