Meeting Minutes
Cromwell Community Pavilion
December 4, 2008
7:00 p.m.

Present: Mike Freiberg, Dean Tegland, Phil & Dawn Lippo, Stan & Judy Davis, Earl Romnes,  Mel  Johnson, . Al Rinta, Orv Evensen, Kevin Turnock, Harold & Shirley Dallmann,  Kevin Davis and Lola Hakala, Pete Seelen, Jim Gassert, Frank Turnock and Rita Butterfield.  Guests: Kristal Schmitz and Michael Phipps of River Valley ATV Riders Club.

Motion by Earl, second by Orv to approve November 6 minutes as presented.  Carried.
Treasurer’s Report:

  -  Aardvark Septic Pumping          $25.00   satellite on Co 1

  -  Orv Evensen                               $10.60   duplicate keys for Pit gate
Jim stated that in the past, Rita has been paid $150 per mo but earlier this year, agreement was made to pay for satellite internet service for the club.  The difference between internet cost and $1800  would be paid at the end of the year.  Total cost of internet billing for 2008 is $799.74 Motion by Orv seconded by Mike to pay Rita $1000.  Carried.
Officers of River Valley ATV Riders Club were introduced.  They gave an overview of where they are with their club at this time.  They meet monthly at Lost Isle, Hwy 210, Carlton.  Have had 3 meetings to date and have 15 members at this time. 

Old Business:

-  Frank updated on 70 mile trail.  Stated the maintenance funding will be channeled through the ATV Alliance to be reimbursed to clubs for trail maintenance.  A grant from Polaris in the amount of $5000 has been received for printing maps, etc.  Next 70-Mile Trail meeting March 23 2009 in Palisade.  They now have a construction committee in place to start planning.  Some trails have been named, i.e., North and South Lawler Loop and Solana Forest Loop.

-  Remember to turn in work logs.  Jim working on grant now.

-  Dick Huhta and Leo Dahlberg still hospitalized.  Flowers had been sent to both.

New Business:

-  Elections:   Motion by Mel to approve officers as currently serving, second by Earl.  Jim requested amendment to motion.  Pete Seelen to replace Jack Kop as vice chair.  Amendment approved by all yea vote.   Motion carried.   Officers for 2009 are as follows:
            Jim Gassert & Frank Turnock   - co-chairs
            Rita Butterfield - Secretary/Treasurer
            Kevin Turnock & Pete Seelen - co vice chair
            Lenny Kroska - Director (exp 2011)

-  Jerry Stone remains activities director; Mike Freiberg appointed new trail coordinator.

-  Joe Alberio going to look at trail to General Andrews; padlock had been cut on gate at Soo Pit.

-  Reminder of Christmas dinner - January 10 2009 sign up sheet sent around.  Others to contact Jim or Rita by Dec 20 with numbers.  6:00 pm social hour; 7:00 pm dinner.  Bring $10 gift for exchange.  Next year will donate to some charity in place of gift exchange.

-            A while ago,  Evergreen P.A.C.  donated funds to White Pine Riders to help with getting their 501C status.
            Discussion on doing same for River Valley ATV Riders Club.  Motion by Mike second by Frank to donate
            $400 to the new club for start up help.  Carried.

-  Motion by Orv second by Mike to adjourn.  Carried
