Old Business -

  • 50/50 Tickets - Thanks to all who sold tickets. Price of tickets is $2. One dollar goes to ATVAM and one dollar remains with local club. We sold total of 1300 tickets this year, more than any previous year. Pete has already talked with Cheryl at ATVAM about getting 1500 for next year.
  • County Fair - Thanks to Darwin and Orv for setting up the booth again this year, and thanks also to those who worked. The addition of the banner was great. Tickets were sold out on Saturday, so Sunday was spent giving out information, maps, etc. We have a list of names of youth who will be notified when next training is scheduled.
  • Outhouses - Signs have been added, “Courtesy of Evergreen PAC ATV Club”, to the outhouses.
  • 70 Mile Trail - Frank reports the first community meeting was held. The trail is to be rideable by 2009. EIS is needed, DNR is taking care of that. The proposed trail is to be GPSd by late fall. Alternative trail to be found around Beaver Township. Hill City and Swatara areas are pretty well worked out. Plans of making another loop off Turnock Trail. Frank also said there will be advertising for a project coordinator soon. Aitkin County Posse will patrol, money comes back to the posse. (Aitkin Co Posse just celebrated one year since charter. Lots of local exposure, parades, etc.)
  • Now that the Turnock Trail Loop is completed, we need to start looking for another club project.
  • Work logs - Continue to update your work logs for any work/time brushing, etc., on the trails and hand in to Jim.
  • Vests - We still have vests available. See Orv if you want one.
  • Youth Training - Nothing scheduled at this time. Frank suggested for next training classes, we put a packet of information together to give to the kids. This could include info from ATVAM, club membership info for parents, etc. Will discuss again at next meeting, bring your ideas. Club will also provide lunch for next training class. Will need volunteers.
  • Jackets - If interested in jackets, see Pete. Price is about $85 and will have to be prepaid with order.
  • Reminder that ML Senior class needs a community service project and could help with cleaning up trails, Soo Pit, etc. School insurance covers their liability.

    New Business

  • Bills presented: Warren Peterson- trail grading $1870; Image Design $203.42 bal of signs; and $20 pumping Co Hwy 1 outhouse. Motion by Jerry, second by Kevin to pay. Carried.
  • ATVAM Fall Convention - will be held in Appleton this year September 14, 15 & 16. Info flyers passed around.
  • New owners at Jackson’s Hole and Jack’s Shack (on 65)
  • Fall Ride - Discussed locations. September 29 (Saturday) will meet at 10:00am Denham Run, ride to Red Top. Jim will contact Roger Olson about inviting White Pine to join us. RSVP to Lenny at Denham Run if you will be riding.
  • Meeting schedule remains unchanged. One more at Gampers - October 4. Nov 1 and Dec 6 meetings at Cromwell Pavilion as well as Christmas party on Jan 12. Then Feb, Mar and April at Lawler, May June and July at Denham Run. Yearly posters will be available in December.
