Motion by Mike, second by Earl to approve.  Carried.

Flowers will be sent to Mary Seelen who is hospitalized at this time.  Mike made a motion to send flowers any time a club member is hospitalized.  Jim stated we do this now.  Motion died.

Bills presented for payment - Warren Peterson, grading trails - $1800; $49.50 Denham Run for food for the trail ride; $320 to Don Bean for backhoe rental; $358 to Pete Seelen for jackets he paid for (money was collected at the meeting.) $1309.95 Warm Homes for concrete table, etc.  Motion by Jerry, second by Phil to approve.  Carried.

Trail Ride - We had 22 on the Sept 29 trail ride, Denham to McGrath, to Red Top.  Roger Olson and Bob Dresser divided riders into two smaller groups at Red Top.  Roger took his group over the Tenbruin Adventure Trail,  a longer, challenging ride.  The weather cooperated, no one got wet, and everyone had a good time.  Perhaps next time, leaders could use radios between them for communication.  Frank thought they could be borrowed from the Aitkin Co Posse.

Franklin reported on the progress of the 70-mile trail, which is actually about 82 miles.  Dovetail Partners has been hired as coordinator of the project.  They are responsible for setting meetings, minutes, media, etc.  This trail is to be rideable by June 2009.  DNR is going to handle the EIS, there are wetlands, endangered species, etc.  This could take up to a year before completed.  The next meeting is going to be  near the end of November, exact date and location to be announced.  Frank suggested inviting the sponsoring legislators to one of these meetings.  There is a total of 2.7 miles of wetlands in the Swatara/Rabey Line area , not a continuous piece, but several short  stretches.  Getting a trail around the Arthyde area is not in any plans at this time.  Frank will call an Alliance meeting for the same night.

Soo Pits - Orv, Jerry and Mike have worked in the Pit, most trails have been graded and brushed, fill has been placed around the gates, signs have been posted again, and signs on outhouse doors.  Outhouses will be pumped around freeze-up and left over winter months.

ATVAM Legislative Summit will be held in St. Cloud Dec 8.  Jim passed information around.  Anyone interested in attending can see Jim.  Club will pay expenses.

Do we want to have Warren grade the trails one more time before winter?  Discussion held, determined trails will be okay without additional grading this fall.  Jim will talk to Warren.

Trails near the Sand Lake/Coffee Lake area need repair.  Perhaps coordinate with Snowmobile Club.

Anyone working on the trails be sure to log your hours, etc., and turn work logs in to Jim for reimbursement.  The next grant application is due by the end of November.

The table has been placed in the Automba area near Pete Seelen’s.  He has added a trash container and takes care of the area.  Thanks, Pete.

Packet of information for Youth Training will be discussed at future meetings prior to next training sessions.

Next meeting November 1 Cromwell Pavilion.

Motion by Mike to adjourn, second by Dick, carried.  Adjourned 8:30.
