- Jerry Stone gave info to Jim regarding the stretch of trail on the west side of the Munger Trail in the vicinity of the ML Airport. The snowmobile club had been in contact with Dale Sandberg for some fill and repair work, at a cost of $400. Motion by Mike, second by Kevin to reimburse half the cost to the snowmobile club. Carried.

- Outhouses have all been pumped for the season. Orv has added more dirt around the gate at Soo Pits. The table/benches has been installed on Co 19 near Pete’s. He has added a garbage can, etc. All trails reported to be in good condition at this time.

- Suggestion to invite the new Carlton County Land Commissioner and Ted Pihlman, Carlton County Commissioner, to the December 6 meeting at Cromwell. Rita will follow up on this. Perhaps invite DNR enforcement to another meeting, later in the season

- Grants - We have approximately $12000 due; however, Carlton County will get part of this, club may end up with about $5000. New grant is due the end of November. We will increase the requested amount this time due to more frequent trail gradings and increased costs. Remember your work logs.

- Frank reported on the 70+ mile trail. Community meetings have been scheduled for Warba November 27 and McGregor on November 28 - 6:00 to 8:00pm both sites. McGregor meeting will be held at the Community Center just past Fireside on the opposite side of the Highway. Rita will send out reminder cards to all members. It’s important to attend these meetings, show support for the clubs, and show that we want these trails. Wear club or posse vests, caps, jackets, bring individual letters of support. If all goes well, could possibly start construction in June of 2008, trails ready for riding by June 2009. There is a website at www.70miletrail.net to keep up with current events. These public meetings will also be advertised in the local papers, through ATVAM, etc. Please make plans to attend.

- Jim read a letter from ATVAM regarding Forest Management Plans for Superior National Forest. Two counts of a law suit previously filed have been dismissed, but there are still two claims by anti-access groups that ATVAM will contest. Motion by Jerry G, second by Mike, to send $500 to support ATVAMS endeavor. Carried.

- Discussed trail maps. Decision to not produce any more maps at this time until we see what happens with trails.

- Youth ATV packets. Discussed information that can be included. Rita, Leo and Dawn to work on info. Some suggestions included info on club memberships, ATVAM membership, printed materials, compass, etc.

- Mike said the stretch of trail we donated toward repair last year in Nickerson is in need of fill and grading. Jim to contact Bob Fodness who originally asked for clubs help on this project.

- Red Top Trails currently being maintained by 5 different clubs. 2009 ATVAM Fall Convention will be held in Onamia, with Drift Skippers hosting.

Next meeting December 6 at Cromwell.

Motion by Frank, seconded by Jerry to adjourn. Carried.

Respectfully submitted by Rita Butterfield
