Meeting Minutes
Denham Run - Denham
July 12, 2007
7:00 p.m.

Present: Phil & Dawn Lippo, Orv Evensen, Al Rinta, Mel Johnson, Earl Romnes, Jerry Stone, Dean Tegland, Leo Dahlberg, Dick Huhta, Lenny Kroska, Kevin Turnock, Stan & Judy Davis, Pete Seelen, Darwin & Grace Chester, Jim Gassert and Rita Butterfield.

New members Stan & Judy Davis introduced.

Minutes of June 7 distributed and read.  Motion by Dick, second by Phil to approve.  Carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Old Business -
 -          Outhouses are installed, one needs a bit of repair on door.  Discussion held on whether to keep open during winter.  Jim will get information on pumping.

-          Jim read letter club sent to John Welle, Aitkin Co Hwy Engineer, regarding signs in Lawler area.

-          50/50 Tickets - Pete was able to get 300 tickets to sell at the County Fair.  Still has several books available if anyone needs more.

-          Directional arrows  on pavement - Dean Tegland painting directional arrows with help from Jerry and grandson repainted the arrows on the highway through Moose Lake.  They show up well, look good.

-          Kevin reports most of the signs have been installed on the new trail loop.

-          70 mile trails - Kevin talked to Mark Jacobs recently.  Committees to meet later this month.

-          Work logs - Continue to get your work logs turned in to Jim to be billed to the grant.  We still have about $12000 left in grant funds.

-          Blaine did more dozer work in the pit, have a bill for $1174.  Also bills from Warren for grading the entire trail - Pine Co to Lawler then to the WI line. $1000 (also one earlier bill for $700 in June)
            Motion by Leo, second by Orv to pay.  Carried.

-          Jackets - Pete is going to look for another choice in jackets.  Tabled until future meeting.

-          Youth training - No new sessions scheduled.

-          Discussion on mileage reimbursement.  Motion by Jim to reimburse members if mileage to perform any trail work, errands for club, etc., exceed 30 miles, second by Orv.  Carried.

-          County Fair - will have work schedules at August meeting.  Darwin to contact ATVAM for any handouts.
New Business:

-          City of Cromwell has requested a donation toward the purchase of tables/chairs for the pavilion.  We hold 2 meetings a year there, plus our Christmas party.  Motion by Pete to donate $730 - cost of 2 tables/chairs , second by Orv.  Carried.

-          Christmas party was previously scheduled for January 12 2008.  Rita to send Russ Dahl a letter regarding catering.

-          Jerry reminded all, when riding the Soo grade, carry a saw or machete etc., as there is always overhanging brush.

-          No further business.  Motion by Dick to adjourn, second by Lenny.  Carried.
