February 2, 2006
7:10 p.m.

Present: Franklin Turnock, Orv Evensen, Don Dudley, Phil Lippo, Lenny Kroska, Jack & Cheryl Kop, Rick Jennissen, Earl Romnes, Leo Dahlberg, Al Rinta, Dick Huhta, Kevin Turnock, Rita Butterfield.

Minutes of Dec 2 distributed. Motion to approve by Phil, second by Orv. Carried.

Treasury Report:

*grant funds
**bridges 400; ofc sup 81.62; trails
960; 425 Christmas dinner; 25 prize

Motion to approve by Leo, seconded by Lenny. Carried.

Christmas Dinner - Good turnout, great food.

Dick - No news on caps. Others can research different options also. Bring back any info to next meeting.

DNR - Joe Russell has moved back to the Two Harbors area. Won’t be replaced until sometime in April.

Grant Funds - Jim reports we have about $12600 in expenditures, we will get approximately $5000.

Discussion on adding a concrete slap and picnic area to Soo Pits. Would have to be vandal-proof. Could be accomplished with cement pillars, etc.

Discussion on sending a donation to ATVAM to further their efforts in lobbying. Motion by Phil, second by Leo, to send $500 donation. Carried.

Frank Turnock presented a large map of the trail we have discussed improving. It will needs 3 or 4 culverts and some gravel work done. Frank will meet with Mark Jacobs before the next regular club meeting for more info from Aitkin Co. At a later date, we will visit the area and ride the trail (when restrictions are off trails) Motion by Leo, second by Orv, to pursue this project. Carried.

ATV Training - Per Rick, will be some training in the spring. Road stencils are done for marking trails in Moose Lake city limits.

ATV Alliance Meeting sent for March 16 at Fireside Inn in McGregor at 7:00pm.. Other clubs to be notified are White Pine, Blind Lake, UpNorth Riders, as well as Mark Jacobs, Aitkin Co Land Commissioner.

There being no other business, motion by Frank to adjourn, second by Lenny. Carried. Adjourn at 8:40 pm
