OLD BUSINESS
-Gate in Soo Pits is done.
-ATV YouthTraining was held in Barnum
May 21 and in Tamarack May 7. Mel Johnson said there will possibly
be another training session in the Fall.
-May 21 Club ride included
few club members, but riders had a good time. Great food: chili
(delicious homemade by Jean), hot dogs, chips, etc., was provided
by Lenny and Connie at Denham Run. Many thanks, Connie and
Lenny.
NEW BUSINESS
-For future Club Rides or Christmas Parties, it may be possible
for the Club to donate funds toward the food.
-County is installing
gates in Soo Pits to prevent any highway vehicles entering; this
will stop litter and trash dumping. For "Agate Days" the
gate will be opened.
-Joe Russell is the new Head DNR man in charge
of trails. Phil Lippo, Jerry Allen, Orv Evenson, and Jack Kop
met with Joe. He seems that he will be easy to work with and was
receptive about the trails from Isle.
-Club is going to monitor trail grading: Warren Peterson
grades Pine County trails. Tony Sundholm will report on when trail
is graded in Aitkin County. Orv Evensen will report on Canton County,
and Lenny will report on Pine County.
Jim Gassert read list of generous donators for trailer to haul
props for ATV Training.
Orv Evensen has ATVAM raffle tickets. They are $2.00 each, our
Club keeps $1.00.
Moose Lake Implement will pay for the booth at the Carlton County
Fair again this year. Thank you so much, Jim.
Club Elections will be moved to July meeting.
"Master Plan" Meeting will be held
end of summer or early fall. (Three local Clubs--UpNorth Riders,
White Pine, Evergreen PAC-- will meet with DNR to plan future
trails.
There are potholes from Soo Pit to Depot. Grand & Aid
is going to be getting tougher to receive. Signing the trail
in Moose Lake will be approximately $2100.00.
Len Hardy from ATVAM attended Roger Howard's retirement party.
Howard's successor is unknown at this time; perhaps second in charge?
Invite new Land Commissioner to July 7 meeting.
Leo Dahlberg motion to adjourn.
Orv second the motion.
