Old Business:

Elections - Jerry Allen has declined co-chair position.  Executive Board has appointed Rick Jennissen to fill term.

Grants - Filed in 2002/2003, money came in 2005, still have $4450 coming yet.  New grant that was filed in November 2004 still not approved.  Have a total of 3 grants out there we are working on - City of Moose Lake, trail grade and Soo Pit.  Jack, Phil and Jim to set up meeting with DNR for 8/10 if possible.

Ticket Sales - Of 30 books, have 10 left, and may not be able to get any more.  GPS will be purchased for Fair giveaway, pending getting more tickets from ATVAM.  Drawing will be held at Fall Convention in Emily on September 17.  Should have a rep from the club attend the meeting.

County Fair - See Darwin to sign up to work.  Dates Aug 18 - 21.  Booth will be in same place as last year.

Grading Trails - Trail was graded from south end of Carlton County to 1st trestle, then graded to Kettle River.

Members report all other trails are in good shape.

Master Plan Meeting - This is still in planning stages - Need to contact all other area clubs to participate.  Frank will invite Mark Jacobs (replaced Roger Howard) to the November meeting.

Gates - Gates are up at the Pit, Milo R arranged to have garbage picked up in Pit.  All we need now is a cleanup crew to clean up some litter.

Web Site - Tarey will get ATVAM minutes on the web page.  We will also post our minutes as soon as available, though they will be noted as UNAPPROVED.  This will get word out faster of activities, etc.

Moose Lake “short” trail - Runs along Munger Trail, power line.  May get Dan Collier to mow, along brush removal.  Need to get 2 short bridges there as well.  Tony S could possibly build for us, he has some frames he uses to make moveable bridges.

New Business:

Changes to By-Laws- Can be done with 30 days notice of intent to change.  Items discussed for changes were

Fiscal Year, Annual Meeting, Elections, and Dues.  Fiscal year can be changed back to Jan 1 - Dec 31, annual meeting to be in December with elections, new officers to take over in January, and dues can follow new fiscal year.  Officers elected last month would be in office until Dec 2006.  Will be acted upon at September meeting.

Caps - We have talked about getting caps with our logo on them.  Dick knows of a company that can provide whatever we want.  He will get some prices and ideas and bring back to Sept meeting.

Trail Extension Proposal - This is the piece of trail that crosses Frank’s property.  He will check on progress.

Mud Bog - Discussion held regarding having a mud hole in the Pit.  Tony stated that is more fun for young people that riding trails.

ATV Training Course - Concern was voiced regarding the training cd programs that youth must complete prior to taking the hands-on training.  Is there a possibility that someone, either parents or youth, could interpret that once completed and certificate is printed, that the individual is trained and ready to ride.  This cd program is intended to have the kids complete the reading part of the training and having it completed prior to hands-on.

Letterhead - Received a quote of $107 for 500 3-color letterhead.  Tabled at this time.

Christmas Party - Scheduled for January 14, at Cromwell, unless there is a conflict with that date.

Motion by Lenny, second by Jack, to adjourn. Carried.

Adjourned at 8:45pm
